A strange pricing policy of Peugeot. To September 1, 2015 to start with a price of 17,850 euros, which is ultimately 8,000 euros less than the lowest price at its first appearance of 2010. Already earlier, one increased the warranty for the batteries up to eight years or 100,000 km. However, the latest price list from March 2016 indicates for the iOn again 1,540 euros more.

And it makes any sense, to switch to the identical Citroën C-Zero, which is just as expensive. Both are derived from the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, which, however, currently costs 23,750 euros, but however with 10 percent more battery capacity. You should not let you tell that the iOn with 14.5 kWh has 150 kilometer range, because after all, you want to drive and not push.

Nevertheless, the iOn must be counted to the very affordable electric vehicles. It lacks a lot, but what you would not necessarily need, for example, a giant screen in the middle. Its display behind the steering wheel is derived from the version with a combustion engine. After all, one learns the remaining range and whether you drive more wasteful or economical.


You are sitting so high in the iOn as in many SUV. There remains on the rear seats also space and headroom by a correspondingly high roof. However, it has been observed a large increase in injuries case of rear seat passengers in US crash tests. The luggage compartment is suffering from engine and batteries in the floor.

The cheap price continues in the extras, because there are hardly any. But in return many will offered as standard as 6 airbags, a board computer, audio/radio/CD, hands-free module, Peugeot Connect, leather steering wheel and alloy wheels.
